During the shop’s renovation, David discovered a 17th-century find while cleaning the shop with a vacuum cleaner. He heard a small metallic sound and, after investigating, found an ancient coin with the image of the famous politician Oliver Cromwell, dated 1658. This was an exciting and long-awaited discovery for David.

The owner of a tavern discovered a valuable gold coin by chance. The person who found it believes that it could be an object that was dormant more than three centuries ago. Currently, this coin is valued at up to 12,500 pounds (equivalent to 354 million dong).

Additionally, David shared that there is a fireplace built in the 17th century inside the store where the coin was found. He also found some stone cannons dating back to the 17th century.

David added: “We haven’t taken these items for inspection yet, but they are the oldest objects we have ever come across in our lives. “They are likely to be of great value.”
